Madrid's calendar of cultural and leisure events has a real treat in store for us in January: Gastrofestival 2016. It will be the 7th edition of this annual event that explores the world of gastronomy, not only from a culinary point of view, but also from such ambits as art, cinema, literature and fashion. It will be held from 23 January through to 7 February.

Coinciding with the Madrid Fusión international summit, over 400 local establishments will be taking part in this event, ensuring the perfect setting to indulge your senses. The show is a showcase for one of the Spanish capital's main tourist attractions: gastronomy. This culinary art is held in increasingly high esteem by visitors to the City of Madrid, who can enjoy some of the world's finest and most varied cuisine.

Restaurants, cocktail bars, cookery schools, gourmet shops, fashion and accessory boutiques, cultural institutions, art galleries and museums provide a wide range of options divided into six main categories: Sensory Experiences, Gastroculture, Gastronomic Madrid, Gastrofashion, Gastrohealth & Design and Gastronomy: a world of possibilities for all tastes and budgets.

Gastrofestival is an initiative of Madrid Fusión and Madrid City Council.
